Project Le Tournesol

A hotel concept for Jacquemus where its creative community meets.

Our hotel is all about meeting new people, the goal is to connect people by play, stay and care. We have built a creative community that is from all over the world. They usually see each other online but now they meet at Le Tournesol, underneath the eternal sun.

Our flexible public spaces are made to connect these people, every public space has its own way to spice the setting up. By changing the room divisions people will get in touch with the other guests of the space. For example, the lounges under the eternal sun will rotate once in a while, because of this you will sit in front of someone new and start new conversations.

The eternal sun is settled in the core of the building

Inside of me, there is an eternal sun this is the soul of the building, this is where everything happens. The sun is what gives me energy, this is why it is also settled in my core. 

Every space in the hotel has its sun, the sun that is located in the core of the building mimics the South - France sun during the day. The colors from the sun change during the day in the changing color palette of the sky (yellow, orange, red, pink, purple). But in the morning the light will have a blue undertone because this keeps you awake and gives you more energy, and at the end of the day it will change to a red undertone, to let you experience that beautiful golden hour that gives you the rest that you need. The sun in the creating room and the gym will have a blue undertone light for the whole day, to keep your mind stimulated at any time. But the sun in the spa will have a red undertone.

La Bomba room: The Le Bomba bedroom takes its inspiration from the iconic
Le Bomba hat, featuring walls adorned with fabric that resembles the texture of straw. This unique design transports you to the heart of the picturesque wheat fields of Southern France, providing an immersive experience. Take a seat on the swing and enjoy the soft touches of the whole room.

Le chiquito room: The Le Chiquito bedroom draws inspiration from the iconic Le Chiquito bag, enveloping you in an immersive experience reminiscent of sleeping inside the leather bag itself. Every aspect of the room is thoughtfully designed to replicate the triangular shape and green leather material of the bag. The room creates a sense of being nestled within a colossal bed that mirrors the bag’s shape. Additionally, the room features a unique vending machine offering green Le Chiquito bags. Upon completing your transaction, you receive a locker number to unlock your prized bag, adding an element of surprise and anticipation to your stay.

We co-create the hotel experience with the guests

Le Tournesol is a hotel made by and for the community, with the help of the app, we want to work together with the guests and create a personal experience for them. Every creative is different that is why we want to see their vision, this is why we want to co-create our hotel with them. Through the app, we get to know their style, passions, and strengths and use this to make a personal experience and connect them with the community.

Personalize the creation room: Inside each of us, there’s an artist waiting to be discovered. That’s why we welcome submissions from local creators, much like on Instagram where everyone can showcase their work. You, along with other guests, have the opportunity to vote for your favorite pieces. The artwork with the highest number of votes will be displayed throughout the hotel. This means you have a chance to encounter your favorite artworks during your stay, while also being exposed to a wide array of choosen creations from other creative travelers. This will get your creative brain to work in no time.

The personalising strategy will be used in all of the public spaces, this includes the gym, the event space, the gallery, and the spa. Every space, you will find a unique and customized experience tailored to suit your preferences.
